SUMMARY 

Nexamp is looking for a creative and driven Email Marketing Specialist to help us educate and engage our subscribers. The Email Marketing Specialist is an integral part of our growing CRM team where our goal is to communicate clearly and grow brand love.  

This role will be responsible for owning, leading, and executing several lines of our email communications. While the role is primarily focused on email, it may also include other subscriber direct mail and SMS outreach as well as our Refer-a-Friend program. Success in this role will be measured by email engagement, overall customer satisfaction (NPS) and churn rate. 

A successful candidate will be a clear communicator, collaborative cross-functional partner, organized planner and use data to continuously improve our customer experience. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Own and execute our monthly newsletter program
  • Create a compelling narrative and annual content plan for our subscribers 
  • Partner with our Content Teams on stories that engage our customers and build on the value of our subscription
  • Develop clear creative briefs to lead our Creative Team copy and design
  • Determine where we can leverage existing content vs creating email-specific content
  • Setup, test and deploy newsletters
  • Monitor engagement data to develop a point of view on what works best and continuously optimize what we feature
  • Expand and grow the program – increasing frequency and relevance/personalization
  • Partner with our Sr Email Marketing Specialist on subscriber preference center and deliver on related content planning and implementation
  • Support the business through Ad Hoc Email campaigns
  • Partner with other internal teams to understand and translate their goals into viable email communication solutions
  • Own the full email cycle including briefs, build out, testing, deployment, and measurement 

Examples include: 

  • Lead gen outreach for our Business Development, Energy Sales, and Community Engagement partners 
  • Service outage and billing exception communications for our Loyalty partners 
  • Customer research surveys for our Product partners 
  • New product cross-sell and adoption
  • Support overall reporting and analysis and other CRM campaigns as needed
  • Follow the email industry and bring new ideas, tests, and tools to help us create a best-in-class program 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or related subject preferred
  • 2+ years’ of Email marketing experience 
  • Experience with HTML, Dreamweaver, and Litmus is not required, but a plus 
  • Strong written and verbal and presentation skills 
  • Superb attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to multi-task and complete tasks thoroughly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Experience utilizing data to craft marketing strategies
  • You are a proactive, self-motivated team player and are open to exploring new approaches and ideas
