The Director of Corporate Development will be responsible for leading the development adoption of a long-range commercial business plan for the company. This individual will be a critical strategic resource for the executive, operations and go to market teams. The Director of Corporate Development will work closely with Wisk Global Partnerships to identify and secure commercialization and supply chain partners that will become strategic partners.  This position will work with existing teams across the company, including our Go-to-Market, Strategic Marketing, Supply Chain, Program Management and Engineering Operations teams, amongst others.  This position will work closely with the CFO and the executive team to:Lead M&A, investment and joint venture processes, including sourcing, evaluation of business model attractiveness, strategic/financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and closing.Attract additional growth capital to compliment Boeing commitments on the path to entry into service and commercialization.Coordinate transaction processes across teams including engineering, product, design, finance, accounting, legal and business developmentWork with CTO to identify, research and recommend industries, companies and technologies for Wisk to evaluate from an M&A, investment or joint venture perspective and analyze the company's objectives and identify, recommend and pursue technologies that can accelerate those goalsWork closely with Boeing Strategy and Corporate Development Build relationships with leaders at emerging and established companies as well as with investment banking and venture capital firmsDevelop and maintain models and dashboards to keep Marketing Requirement and Objectives, final engineering design and long term commercial business models alignedTrack and analyze our industry, as well as prospective M&A opportunities.  


Candidate Characteristics:

  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record in negotiating and managing strategic partnerships, launching new businesses, optimizing new revenue steams and driving improved operations. The ideal candidate will have a combination of new technology and aviation experience. 
  • The ideal candidate will be capable of influencing across all levels of the organization. This individual will have strong interpersonal communication capabilities to develop trust and strong relationships with strategic corporate partners and targets.

What you have done:

  • 10+ years of experience in technology industry and aviation preferred
  • B.S. in relevant discipline required
  • MBA preferred
  • Consulting or Investment Banking experience helpful

Job Type: Full-timePay Range the Company expects to pay: $161,211 - $246,340 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
