Job Description

Are you passionate about tackling the climate crisis? Do you believe in the power of communication? Are you a recent graduate looking for a position where you can grow within the organization? — Join our team as Executive Assistant to the CEO of We Don’t Have Time, US!

As the Executive Assistant to the CEO your main role is to provide day-to-day administrative support to a dynamic and busy CEO who travels regularly. Tasks include managing calendars, offering research support, making travel arrangements, preparing meetings, helping create content for social media, accompanying her to events, and much more. The Executive Assistant will also work closely with the Head of US Operations on day-to-day administrative support

The ideal candidate for this position will excel if they can keep calm in a high-pressure environment, are eager to learn, willing to help with a wide variety of tasks, and are not afraid of stepping out of their comfort zone. Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support
  • Manage calendars and organize meetings
  • Take notes and proofread texts
  • Prepare briefings before meetings and events
  • Take pictures, shoot videos, and write copy for social media and event sites
  • Draft press releases, press kits, press lists, etc
  • Assist with the production of broadcasts and events
  • Liaison with speakers, onboard partners, greet guests, help with scriptwriting, etc
  • Conduct background research and draft talking points for news segments

Other Responsibilities:

  • Help with personal tasks as needed

Desired Skills:

  • Eager to learn and willing to help out where needed
  • Flexibility with schedule and a willingness to be on-call (including some nights and weekends)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and editorial skills
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of an international team
  • Comfortable interacting with high-level professionals
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including comfortability with asking questions, being candid, and providing feedback

Job Requirements:

  • A demonstrated commitment to fighting the climate crisis.
  • A bachelor's or higher degree in a relevant field (environmental and/or social sciences)
  • Available to work full-time in-person at our Washington, D.C. office.
