Job Description
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to report to our Controller, who is based in Ridgewood, NJ. The role can be hybrid with 2 days in the office and the rest based remotely.

Responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with the Controller, getting visibility into how a fast-growing PE-backed business operates, while supporting project accounting for the vastly diverse distributed energy projects we are building.
- Support the design and implementation of accounting procedures, and work directly with the independent audit firm, in an effort to produce financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Work alongside the external tax team to meet tax compliance and reporting requirements.
- Regularly collaborate with other departments of the business to provide reporting and tax guidance, while ensuring appropriate financial accounting.
- Manage the company’s AP, AR, and back-office support teams.
- Support our Controller by becoming a senior member of our internal accounting team, aimed at being adaptive to our rapidly growing business.
For you to be successful in the role, you should have:
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP). CPA preferred.
- 2+ years of audit experience at either mid-tier or big 4 firms.
- Solid understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Experience in working with accounting software and databases.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Superior data analysis skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Motivation to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, PE-backed business
