To accomplish this mission, Rondo is deploying low-cost, zero-carbon Rondo Heat Batteries to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy and to significantly decarbonize industrial processes that are commonly thought of as "difficult-to-decarbonize". Our Heat Batteries charge from intermittent renewables to provide high temperature, continuous heat for customers safely, reliably, at an unprecedented 98% efficiency - and at a cost point that is lower than any other method. 

We are looking for an innovative Design Integration Engineer to join our team and help repower industrial heat at scale. In this role, you will be responsible for design integration using BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools across all EPC (Electronic Power Control) projects. You will also design systems, components, and tooling to support the large-scale deployment of the Rondo Heat Battery for industrial processes alongside the greater Mechanical Engineering team.

What You Will Do (key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to): 

• Lead 3D modeling efforts through design coordination and design reviews 
• Own all activities related to Revit management, training, and & support 
• Drive the set up and maintenance of large, federated models involving 8-10 design and engineering disciplines 
• Coordinate the models produced by the internal design team, external contractors, and other third-party vendors using the federated model 
• Be responsible for clash-detection evaluation to verify constructability 
• Provide both project management and design skills in support of a detailed and accurate BIM models 
• Join the greater Product & Design ME team in converting product requirements into technical specifications, developing conceptual and detailed designs along with the necessary risk assessments 
• Perform engineering analysis, prototyping and/or testing required to achieve robust and cost-effective solutions for our core technology, as well as on tooling and other equipment to support manufacturing 

What You Will Bring: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience  
• +5 years of hands-on experience in Engineering and/or Construction; preferably with 3+ years of experience in a BIM environment 
• The ability to lead and influence when needed; a proven track-record of success in highly collaborative environments 
• Expert knowledge with Revit, BIM 360, AutoCAD, and all Autodesk software 
• Expert knowledge of SolidWorks 
• Experience interfacing with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs and alignment between Work Breakdown Structure based cost tracking and BIM parameters 
• Experience working on highly integrated infrastructure projects 
• Flexibility, openness, and creative problem-solving
