Job Description

Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to create an abundant and decarbonized material future. Our outstanding people are our most important asset and will allow us to deliver hydrogen from renewable electrolysis for heavy industry, at prices below fossil fuels. 

We are looking to add a Marketing Manager to help create and grow an innovative marketing function for our disruptive clean energy technology company.

As our Marketing Manager, you will work cross-functionally across the company to differentiate Electric Hydrogen via organization, management, and evaluation of campaigns and through the creation, curation and distribution of digital and tangible marketing collateral. You will work closely with the commercial team to help define and execute a plan to create and manage key marketing touch points with customers, partners and the greater cleantech community. You will be an individual contributor at first, but there are opportunities to grow into team leadership as needs dictate.

You will be based in San Carlos, CA (Bay Area) or in Natick, MA (Boston) and will be able to work on a hybrid basis. You will report to the SVP of Global Sales and be part of a high energy customer-oriented team with considerable momentum in a high-growth sector with global impact.


  • Manage the lead funnel:
    • Define and manage the lead generation and marketing qualification process to drive high value leads to the company's inside sales function
    • Create and manage campaigns to identify new customers consistent with the company's customer segmentation approach
  • Build the Brand:
    • Own the re-imagination of the company's digital and physical marketing assets including web, social, and collateral
    • Keep EH2 involved and influencing in the green hydrogen, energy and industrials sector through activating the company at key industry events and conferences
  • Tell The Story:
    • Maintain and disseminate the company's messaging materials internally
    • Define a trade-show strategy and coordinate events
    • Own all company collateral and evolving it as our company and product matures
    • Work with Product Team to leverage tools and resources like our LCOH app ( across marketing initiatives


  • Minimum of three years' experience working in Marketing or Product Marketing in a B2B setting, with a demonstrated record of achievement and, ideally, promotion within a company
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business or other related field
  • Customer-first psychology and a passion for understanding complex markets and customers
  • Data-driven and analytical in decision making
  • Excitement and desire to get into the details of what makes our product different and better
  • Ability to travel as needed for events and conferences
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • A passion for decarbonization


  • 5-7 years' experience working at a hardware technology company or in the energy or industrials
  • Experience in with products that required multi-year sales and marketing strategies
  • Experience working in a start-up setting
  • An eye for design and a pen for concise and effective communication
  • Masters degree, MBA or related field

Compensation & Benefits:

[Natick Zone] Marketing Manager (P2): $73,000 - $97,000 per year

[San Carlos Zone] Marketing Manager (P2): $86,000 - $114,000 per year

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​

Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package. We feel strongly that our team should not have to worry about having quality healthcare. In addition to the base salary offered, the hired applicant may receive:​
