King Energy is a well-funded, VC-backed renewable energy company that builds, owns, and operates solar infrastructure on multi-tenant properties. 

We encourage occasional travel a few days a year to our headquarters in Durango, Colorado and San Luis Obispo, California; and we have two annual offsites.  But that’s it in terms of travel.

Position

The Property Account Manager will represent the Sales organization on King Energy Solar  Projects beginning in project deployment through the life cycle of the project.  The primary responsibility of the Property Account Manager is to develop and maintain relationships with Property Managers (in some cases Property Owners) in order to:

Deployment Phase

  • Lead monthly meetings with Property Managers through deployment;
  • Provide updates regarding tenant participation and obtain assistance with non-participating tenants to encourage them to enroll;
  • Obtain necessary documentation, signatures, and lease information required to complete project financing;
  • Obtain necessary information to process rent payments and other special programs.
  • Maintain visibility into changes in tenants and vacancy.
  • Ensure enrollment of the common area accounts in the program.

In Production Phase

  • Create and provide quarterly reporting on project output, overall value to tenants and common area accounts;
  • Maintain visibility into VNEM allocations to ensure proper allocation of solar credits to avoid excesses and shortfalls in distribution;
  • Surface tenant issues that would benefit from PM involvement;
  • Maintain visibility into changes in tenants and vacancy;
  • Assist in processing rent payments;
  • Address PM concerns and assist with O&M coordination

Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Must possess an understanding of commercial real estate, leases, CAM, NNN, and the ability to communicate effectively with Property Owners and Managers;
  • Must be prompt, an effective listener, and persistent.
  • Must possess the ability to translate complicated concepts into easily-interpreted presentations.
  • Must be highly organized with an attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS Office, OneBill, Salesforce, Google Workspace
  • A passion for sustainability and environmental preservation is a plus.
