Digital Producer/Project Manager (Remote Eligible)

We’re looking for a Digital Producer to coordinate the creation, production and distribution of animated explainers and other digital content — such as short videos and podcast episodes — about the technologies and strategies accelerating the just transition to a clean economy. This position requires a detail-oriented editorial project manager who is able to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams and is comfortable shepherding tasks from conception to completion. The Producer will report to the Managing Editor and Senior Creative Director. Overall compensation (base salary + discretionary bonus) for this role will be provided commensurate with years of experience and qualifications within the following range: $90,000 - $120,000 plus health and wellness benefits.

Responsibilities

• Manage the conception, production and scheduling of digital content, including  animated explainers and videos that define and describe topics within GreenBiz’s core coverage areas and markets: Circularity, Climate Tech, ESG/Sustainable Finance and Sustainability. Supervise all stages of the process from creation to completion.
• Execute the vision for digital content into finished products; work with Analysts to identify topics and create voice-over scripts, the Editorial team to refine scripts and flow, and the Creative team to bring the narrative to life with engaging visuals
• Exercise editorial judgment to review and edit scripts and to ensure alignment between content and visual elements
• Oversee and track the progress of multiple projects; work with stakeholders to develop a production and publication schedule
• Collaborate with GreenBiz leadership and colleagues across all teams; maintain and cultivate relationships with vendors/freelancers as needed
• As schedule allows, assist with project-managing weekly podcast

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in creating, editing or producing digital content — including video, podcast, audio and print — and working with firm deadlines. 
• Journalism experience desired
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Background in editing and project management
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex processes and working on multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills; process-oriented working style
• Adaptability and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize projects with input from multiple stakeholders
• Interest in climate solutions, corporate sustainability and GreenBiz’s core communities and coverage areas; familiarity with these issues is preferred, but not required 
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues in virtual settings
