AMP Robotics is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team while also supporting the maintaining, modifying, and improving of all equipment at AMP’s facility. Participates as an integral team member, gives input on equipment reliability, maintenance processes, safety concerns, and other topics. 

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will work to:

  • Demonstrate and lead the department in a commitment to safe behavior and to making the plant a safer place to work. Support/drive hazard identification, risk assessments, and risk controls efforts.
  • Supervise the maintenance team by assigning personnel; scheduling and accomplishing preventative maintenance goals while monitoring equipment throughout a shift. 
  • Primary interface to external facilities and maintenance contractors (i.e. HVAC, rolling stock, compressors, etc).
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all processing and support systems to specifications consistent with all Federal and State fire, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain the spare parts inventory, based on critical need and part lead time. 
  • Resolve technical issues presented throughout a shift ;investigate; identify a solution.
  • Increase equipment reliability through ownership of continuous improvement and preventive maintenance.
  • Develop playbook on single point failures, identify backup plans and prepared responses to preserve uptime.  Develop safe triage response plans backed by long term repairs.
  • Ensure maintenance personnel are properly trained to support equipment reliability and support upgrades.
  • Coordinate with Plant Manager and operations supervisors closely 
  • Resolve personnel problems working closely with the Plant Manager. 
  • Support preoperative and postoperative inspection of the equipment and ensure necessary repairs are entered and actioned within the CMMS.
  • Supervise project initiatives and development activities to support changing plant needs, while maintaining compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Safely and productively operates all equipment including forklift, wheel loader and/or baler, while monitoring area for pedestrian and vehicular traffic. 
  • Supply technical knowledge to help troubleshoot production problems.
  • Own and ensure compliance to 5S in the department.
  • Act as emergency coordinator for the plant.
  • Adheres to and ensures all company, and regulatory safety standards and rules are followed 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have: 

Required: 

  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.  Technical certifications are highly desired. 
  • 3 (or more) years of direct experience leading a team operating same or similar machinery, in a production or processing environment 
  • 5 or more years of experience operating same or similar machinery
  • Experience working with and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles including Preventive Maintenance, Total Productive Maintenance, and Predictive Maintenance
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for Preventive Maintenance, Purchase Requisitions, Work Order Tracking, and Inventory Management
  • Knowledge of electrical safety

Preferred: 

  • Five (5) plus years experience as a certified maintenance mechanic lead or supervisor.

  • Overtime and call-in work may be required.

  • Stand for up to eight hours per day. 
  • The ability to stand, climb, bend, twist, and lift materials or tools as needed

  • Personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, dust mask, ear plugs, gloves, hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, and safety vest. 
  • Machines including, but not limited to, forklift, baler, wheel loader 
  • Tools including, but not limited to, welding equipment, hand, and power tools.

  • Potential exposure to extreme weather conditions.
