SUMMARY

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Boston office. The AP Specialist will report directly to the Manager of Accounts Payable and will play a key role in driving the AP process, while providing financial and administrative support to the accounting team. This individual will have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high achieving and fun professionals. We are seeking a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All activities in the accounts payable function, including but not limited to processing of vendor bills or check requests, seeking approvals, initiating payments (including wires, ACHs, and checks), recording AP related journal entries, sending payment remittances, and reconciling vendor statements
  • Resolving invoice or payment discrepancies and documentation, track and resolve purchase order and change orders, execute any check void/ stop payment processes. Creating new vendors in NetSuite and taking responsibility for completeness and accuracy of records
  • Audit Expense reports in Concur ensuring expense reimbursement follows our Travel & Entertainment policy
  • Assisting with tracking construction costs and securing lien waivers
  • Providing support for project financing draws
  • Preparing intercompany journal entries and the month-end accrual entry to ensure invoices are accrued properly at month end and year-end
  • Assist in annual 1099 preparation, filing and reporting
  • Ad-hoc projects as requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS

Key qualifications are as follow:

  • Prior accounts payable experience
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus but not required
  • Willing and able to adapt to a high energy, fast paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task; strong organizational skills, strict attention to detail, and time management 
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and efficient
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members across the organization
  • Enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow
  • Robust analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office and overall computer skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree not required but is preferred
