Are you interested in creating a cleaner environment for future generations? Join our world-class, innovative team today.

Position Specific Description

We are seeking a well-qualified candidate who is passionate about driving the clean energy revolution by providing solar companies with innovative software.  We work as a team: each of us taking their turn to lead, follow, teach, or learn as the occasion arises. You might be a good fit for this role, if:

  • You are an exemplary teammate: always ready to help a colleague, express complex concepts clearly, listen to complicated explanations patiently, do unavoidable chores cheerfully, and leverage your attention effectively

  • You love shipping new code on a calm but steady cadence, seeing your own patches and those you have thoughtfully reviewed land each sprint

  • You have solid previous experience in architecting large scale applications and platforms, using some of the latest cloud technologies on AWS.

  • You have excellent cloud software development and architecture skills: distributed system design, container orchestration, data engineering, and building application for scale and reliability

  • You will be very productive with our primary development toolkit: Python/Django, SQL, microservices, various AWS cloud services, GitHub, etc.

  • You are happy to contribute across the stack, learning new skills as needed

  • Be willing to get into the code, contributing directly to the core product development team.

  • You have a passion for decarbonizing the world with clean energy and want a career that positively impacts millions of human beings

Job Overview

This position will be responsible for architecting, designing, and collaboratively working with the team to execute the proposed solution and bring it to fruition. You will be responsible for the system reliability, availability, security, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate will be just as passionate about working with great teams as they are about building great software and will constantly be looking for ways to drive engagement, quality, and improve outcomes.

Job Duties

  • Own system architecture, design, and technology selection.

  • Directly work with cross functional teams of engineers.

  • Work with Engineering and Product for scoping and sprint planning activities

  • Identify and scope infrastructure or tooling changes to impact efficiency and/or quality

  • Lead contributor and collaborator on system design and architecture

  • Directly impact our ability to grow quickly while improving operational efficiencies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • Previous experience in the solar and/or renewable energy industry; previous experience with B2B software

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment

  • A high level of energy, motivation, initiative, commitment, and professionalism

Required Qualifications
