ABOUT PLEDGE

Pledge empowers transport and logistics leaders to reach their sustainability goals through its accredited and integrated software. With a focus on accessibility and transparency, Pledge allows users to start measuring, reducing and removing their carbon emissions in minutes with its self-serve product, giving customers the confidence they need to take credible and impactful climate action in logistics supply chains.

Founded by early Revolut employees, David de Picciotto and Thomas Lucas, and Freetrade’s co-founder and former CTO, André Mohamed, Pledge's team draws on its experience building scalable businesses in the regulated and complex payments and capital markets industries and applies it to help decarbonise some of the highest emitting industries on the planet.

Pledge recently secured $10 million in Series A funding to continue building best-in-class products to drive its mission to help businesses reach net zero emissions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be integral to developing and designing new and existing products which help us achieve our mission. You'll work in close collaboration with the founders, designers, product managers, engineering, and other internal and external stakeholders.

Pledge works with B2B customers across a range of sectors including logistics, travel, e-commerce and fintech amongst others. The role will entail building a deep understanding of our business and our customers’ needs in order to build products that people will love to use and will contribute to the success of the business and the mission.

This role is NOT for you if:

  • You are looking for a 9 to 5 job.

  • You have a low risk appetite and favour predictability over the uncertainty & high intensity environment of a startup.

  • You want a fully remote job and are not excited about being in an office with your team for minimum 3 days a week.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • You’ll be working on unique product challenges across multiple products for our customers and our internal products

  • Working with the rest of the design team to improve our design system and help the team ship high-quality work faster

  • You’ll be working directly in a cross-functional team with product and engineering

  • You’ll be speaking with real people to understand their needs with user research

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  •  5+ years of experience as a product designer, with experience working in-house and in cross-functional teams (with engineers and PMs) to ship products with impact

  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You are able to move super fast to the right solution as an individual (with a clear understanding of the problem space & goals before designing, time boxing mindset, and quick iteration)

  • An expert user of Figma. But you have experience with a wide range of design, research and prototyping tools

  • Knowledge and experience of industry best practices (e.g. WCAG accessibility, system thinking)

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL

  • You are passionate about Climatetech and share Pledge’s mission to help businesses make a positive environmental impact

  • You are an end-to-end product designer (Research, UX, UI and prototyping), and you can work across the lifecycle of a product feature. You are able to and love designing great products from idea to customer impact

  • You obsess about design quality and delivering impact to customers. You've got a proven track record of shipping high-quality work and are able to prove it with a recent portfolio and/or case studies. Candidates without a portfolio or ability to show their work are unlikely to be considered

  •  You can confidently articulate design decisions and root them to user needs and convince others of your reasoning

  • You approach work in a logical way and operate from first principles
