Job Description

Redaptive is searching for an entrepreneurial and passionate business leader to build its EV charging and fleet electrification business. With many Fortune 500 corporate accounts already subscribed to the Redaptive model, you will be bringing EV chargers and fleet planning to an extensive real estate footprint. This product will enhance Redaptive’s broader toolkit for meeting customer energy and sustainability goals.  In this role you will define the product strategy, build a business plan, and oversee the cross-functional implementation of this plan. The ideal candidate has a successful track record of launching new business development initiatives, does not shy away from reading commercial contract negotiations, excels at understanding how business models impact a company’s bottom line, and keeps a constant pulse on the policy and market trends in the vehicle electrification sector. You will bring a combination of commercial thought leadership and hands on project delivery experience. You will exercise your excellent strategic communication skills, clearly articulating critical path items to launch a new business across the entire company. Recognizing that product validation comes from the market, you will launch business pilot programs and iterate relentlessly to deliver customer and shareholder value. Reporting to the Director of Commercial Product, this role is a part of the Product Marketing and Technology group. You will have insights and direct impact on all parts of the business, from sales to project finance, installation, and asset management. In partnership with your fellow product leaders, you will enhance a comprehensive energy and sustainability platform spanning financial structuring, project management, installation, maintenance, and data insights.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own Product Strategy: Segment the commercial and industrial market according to customer electric vehicle charging and fleet electrification needs. Maintain a pulse on macroeconomic policy or market dynamics and continuously capitalize on where Redaptive is uniquely positioned to offer the value for its target segments.

  • Set Commercial Terms: Partner with relevant business teams to define clear commercial structure and terms that will ultimately be documented in a template customer and vendor contracts.

  • Leverage Success (or Failure) to Iterate: Determine relevant sales and business metrics to measure product success and adoption. Provide regular roadmap updates to internal stakeholders, customers, and investors. Utilize relevant metrics and business cases to drive future initiatives around product strategy.

  • Drive Product Adoption: Identify ideal pilot customer criteria, target markets, and pitches with Sales, Customer Experience, and Product Marketing teams. As needed, support client calls and presentations.

  • Lead Cross-Functionally: Collaborate on identifying and tracking the relevant business requirements to deliver across the entire lifecycle of a product: sales, project scoping, procurement, installation, asset performance tracking, customers service and maintenance, and renewals or site closures.

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert: Address internal escalations for complex transactions projects, working directly with customers or vendors when pulled in by sales or delivery teams. Lead consulting or external engagements where necessary to augment internal expertise.

  • Optimize Product Operations: Identify key capability or process gaps in current organization to develop, propose, and underwrite key customer EV infrastructure programs.

  • Enable Broader Corporate Strategy: Collaborate with fellow product managers and Strategy team to deliver a cohesive customer experience across Redaptive's other product offerings.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • 5+ years selling or implementing in the EV charging or fleet electrification projects, with a focus on commercial & industrial (C&I) sector customers.
  • Experience driving forward commercial partnerships, negotiating contractual business terms and deal structuring is preferred. Relationships with major EV Charger OEMs and national/global installers a plus.
  • Passion for and willingness to evangelize how enabling EV infrastructure impact corporate sustainability, financial, and operational goals.
  • Thrives in a cross-functional leadership role where authority does not fall cleanly along reporting lines. Leverages excellent interpersonal skills to build momentum across the company.
  • Excellent communication skills having worked in a role involving translating technical terms—policy, engineering, or otherwise—into commercial terms and action items.
  • Familiarity building simple financial models to compare different business models and sensitivity analyses that will impact business outcomes. Experience with project financing and tax equity structuring not necessary but a plus.
  • Bachelor of Arts in finance or business; MBA preferred or relevant experience
  • Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to working from home for the foreseeable future.

  • Expected annual salary: 160k (subject to adjustment for relevant experience, skills, geo location)
