SUMMARY

As the Center of Excellence Manager you with be responsible for managing the overall center of excellence objectives associated with “cost savings”. You will organize, manage, and drive the overall supply chain cost managed associated within engineering, procurement, and construction. This includes overall cost management for Regional Projects across the entire organization, work in managing the project material budgets associated with new and existing projects spends, and managing department budgets this includes department spend, travel, etc. You'll also assist in the development of department KPI’s that will support and drive performance improvement as well as play a key role in supply chain cost management. You'll work closely with other key functional representatives from Regional Project Managers, Category Manager, Sourcing Specialists, Logistics, Finance, Engineering, and Business Development to ensure Nexamp supply base is effectively serving internal and external customer needs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain supply Chain ‘War Room” and Corporate Staff reporting
  • Provide guidance to Supply Regional project manager, Supply Chain Category Manager, Logistics Manager and Sourcing Specialists as required.
  • Responsible for overall “cost savings” management for the corporation
  • Responsible for developing and assisting in “value analysis” projects
  • Develop and support CBOM value analysis projects and standards for spend.
  • Monitor supplier performance and taking necessary actions with internal stakeholders based on results.
  • Work with development team to develop reporting functions to support other internal stakeholders within the business
  • Develop effective and efficient supply base operational support plans to achieve business unit KPI's.
  • Lead and develop strategic initiatives to meet objectives and improve overall supply chain performance.
  • Supports ESG and Compliance within the business, establishes and owns initiatives.
  • Maintains and initiates updates to SOP's within the business unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years experience in supplier quality/management, commodity management, materials management, procurement, project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and numerical analysis skills.
  • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to others.
  • Knowledge of supplier contracts, product conformity, quality tool box, problem solving methodologies, and certification.
  • Continuous improvement, Six Sigma concepts & methodologies, and work experience as a leader with excellent negotiation skills will be considered an asset.
  • Good leadership, judgment, and an ability to innovate.
