We are looking for a Configuration Management & CAD analyst intern to join our team. The goal of an Configuration Management & CAD analyst intern at Wisk is to ensure that the digital transformation of CAD supports configuration control of our design. You will be part of the configuration management and engineering systems team that manages aircraft configuration, documentation and the engineering systems that assist in design and development of our aircraft.

Why we need you:

  • With that vision in mind, we are looking for an  Configuration Management & CAD analyst intern to join our CMES team. The goal of the  Configuration Management & CAD analyst intern at Wisk is to develop our digital product definition
  • to build the first fully autonomous all-electric aircraft that performs and operates safely in an urban air-mobility environment. In support of this goal, you will be part of the CMES team that leads our digital transformation.  Your goal is to make sure that our configuration is controlled and is available to all users digitally.  Your mission is to help expand the use of NX CAD, checkmate, product manufacturing information and the rest of our engineering systems tools to develop our digital product definition.
  • The successful candidate will have cursory knowledge of CAD data systems, preferably NX and a product lifecycle management (PLM) tool, preferably Teamcenter. Knowledge of hardware and software development lifecycle as well as an interest in database management would be extremely advantageous. In this role, the candidate must be proactive and self motivated with the desire to develop pivotal technologies to support digital product definition. Knowledge of FAA regulations or an interest in learning more about FAA regulations and digital product definition would be desired. The ability to work in small teams and to report out progress and results would be needed.

What you will do:

  • As part of the CMES organization you will act as a Configuration Management & CAD analyst intern for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
  • You will take part in the configuration management and engineering systems team.
  • You will help support problem solving activities to overcome obstacles to deploying our digital product definition strategy.
  • You will help coordinate configuring product manufacturing information and general and specific CAD data to support digital product definition.
  • You will take part in team meetings, workshops and engineering systems development activities.
  • In some areas, you will be working closely with the mechanical systems functional team, the IT group and other functional and integrated product teams.
  • You will plan and execute methods to support digital product definition.

What you have done:

  • You have worked on various mechanical systems designs using CAD tools.
  • You have hands-on experience developing project plans and executing those plans. 

Desired:

  • You are familiar with Teamcenter (or other PLM tools), NX CAD, and business analytics tools such as Power BI or Teamcenter reporting and analytics (TCRa).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins
  • Must be either a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate student in college
  • Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, transcripts are required
  • Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (full-time 3 months)
  • Must be able to work pacific standard time (PST)

Job Type: Full-timePay Range the Company expects to pay: $25 an hour
