THE ROLE

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our team. You will define solutions and features based on customer and market needs. You will also support the delivery team with hands-on implementation if needed. Your focus will be on all electrical and IoT related technologies. This is an exciting opportunity for a curious technology driven mind who enjoys being across product definition and product implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop a deep understanding of our customer needs by liaising with our local markets
• Scout and explore new technologies or products like batteries, motor controllers, IoT tech
• Assess, experiment, test and integrate new technologies into our existing tech stack
• Develop implementation scenarios and project plans including timeline, resourcing and risks
• Project lead the cross functional development and integration of new features or products
• Hands-on support your project team with implementation, e.g. by doing coding work yourself
• Become a subject matter expert within Zoomo for certain key technologies
• Develop a strong technology supplier network

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who can work on the product definition side as well as on the implementation side. The ideal candidate is experienced with embedded and integrated systems, has profound knowledge of electronics and firmware and gained first experience as product manager. Big plus if you worked with electric light vehicle technologies such as batteries, motor controllers, motors, HMIs and IoT before. You will need to be able to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment.

• 4 years+ experience w. embedded systems (electronics, firmware) and 1 year+ product mgmt.
• Relevant degree (e.g. preferably Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science)
• Able to apply UX/UI - design thinking, wire frames, user stories, conduct customer research
• Able to create, read and interpret electronic schematics/layouts and block diagrams
• Able to create end to end project plans including resourcing, costing, risk management
• Able to lead cross functional projects, end to end
• Proficient with embedded C/C++, familiar with STM ARM architectures
• Proficient in Python - numpy, pandas, scipy
• Familiar with databasing including google cloud SQL
• Understanding of GCP/AZURE/AWS - cloud functions, APIs, cloud run, cloud scheduling
• Understanding or familiar working with
  • Mobile network operators (MNOs)
  • Dashboarding API solutions (Flespi/Particle)
  • Network architecture of IoT devices
• Familiar with distributed version control systems e.g. Git
• Reporting directly to the Director of Hardware Engineering
