What You'll Do

The FP&A Analyst is a key position on our HQ FP&A team that is responsible for planning, forecasting, & reporting equipment and consumables sales and margin. By partnering with the operations & product management teams, the FP&A analyst will ensure that we are correctly costing our various equipment packages & consumables, drive a deeper understanding of our equipment & consumables margin rates, and ultimately help develop strategies to improve them.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

  • On a monthly/quarterly/annual basis, forecast and report our equipment & consumables sales & margin.
  • Develop new or improve existing analytical tools to drive a deeper understanding of our equipment and consumable margin rates and top line growth.
  • Calculate & track material cost inflation & partner with the sourcing & engineering organizations on cost saving initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate product cost within accounting systems and provide inventory control support via Bill of Material & item usage audits on system & consumable shipments.
  • Develop the HSX lease pool financial management system to track utilization, cost, profitability & return on investment by leased asset.
  • Provide agile ad hoc support to other finance & operations priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with a preference on STEM, Economics, Finance, Accounting majors but open to exceptional candidates of other majors
  • 1-5+ years of relevant experience, with a preference on non-transactional finance roles at an industrial manufacturer. 0 years’ experience if an exceptional candidate with strong academic metrics and previous internship experience. 
  • Proficient or above in excel & data management
  • Organized with a strong bias towards a logic-based approach to stepping through data and processes.
  • A desire to learn, to build, to improve themselves, other people, and processes they touch.
