NRDC is seeking a Senior Program Assistant to work with the Development team in our New York office.
Position Summary
NRDC is seeking a Senior Program Assistant in our New York office to provide critical administrative and special projects support to the Senior Director of Board Relations and the Board Relations team.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Board Relations, the Senior Program Assistant will play a vital role in effectively scheduling and coordinating board-related meetings, including a complex schedule of board committee meetings, and will provide a wide range of day-to-day administrative support to the Senior Director and the team, including calendar management and scheduling, travel logistics, and meeting coordination. The Senior Program Assistant will also assist with priority Board Relations projects, including drafting communications and memos, maintaining databases and trackers, and spearheading small projects.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner, and has an excellent ability to prioritize assignments and projects to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the team. The individual in this role must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent research, writing, interpersonal, and project coordination skills are required. The candidate must also be skilled at working in a collaborative culture and possess good judgment, discretion, and tact.

We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits, and a supportive working environment. Salary is based on a nonprofit scale and is commensurate with skills and experience. For this position, the salary is $63,000 to $72,000. Internal equity considerations will be reviewed before making a final offer.
