Job Description

Cervest is building the world's first open access AI-powered Climate Intelligence platform.

We’re a Certified B Corporation with a vision to build a climate intelligent world — one where everyone is able to use Climate Intelligence to adapt with climate change. By making Climate Intelligence open, democratised and transparent we will power a global Climate Intelligent Network™ that drives a chain reaction of climate intelligent decisions to protect the world’s critical assets, including our greatest asset — the planet.

Using our pioneering EarthScanTM product, anyone can discover how current and future climate events such as flooding, droughts, and extreme temperatures will impact their assets. EarthScan helps our customers confidently de-risk decisions, meet financial disclosure needs and improve the resilience of the assets they own, manage or rely on.

As a company, we are a pro-diversity, highly inclusive organization, committed to bringing together people of all backgrounds and enabling them to succeed. We know that a richly diverse team will help us achieve our mission sooner.

The role:

Cervest is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Consultant to support the company's growth and help achieve our ambitious Go To Market objectives. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills, collaborating with the sales and partner team to drive revenue from commercial, enterprise customers and strategic partners by promoting Cervest's Climate Intelligence solutions.

You will be responsible for pre-sales activities, demos, RFIs, RFPs management and detailed workshops, as well as collaborating with the sales, product management and services teams to ensure explainability of our solutions.

As an expert in climate risk (physical and/or transition) you will articulate the inherent value of Cervest's technology solutions from a climate perspective. You will participate in workshops with prospective customers to understand their target state and where Cervest solutions can be applied and would fit in their overall architecture. You will also gather market information from interaction with prospective and current customers, including market insight and trend spotting.

Domain knowledge of climate science and climate risk is needed in order to ensure that explainability is of high quality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct product demos, both off-the-shelf and tailored to specific needs, which may involve modifying standard configurations to align with custom requirements.
  • Technical and Functional presentations: You will need to understand Cervest’s product offering and customer systems from a technical and functional perspective and how to present this information from the perspective of prospective clients.
  • Target State Solution Architecture Workshops: Participate in workshops with prospective customers to understand their target state and understand where Cervest solutions would fit in their overall architecture
  • Solution Workshops: Participate in workshops with existing and prospective customers to understand what the final solution will look like, identifying product and configuration gaps.
  • Build trusted relationships with individuals from prospective and current customers
  • RFI and RFP responses
  • Contribute in proposals targeted at individual prospective clients to meet their needs.
  • Show commercial awareness around enterprise software licensing models and procurement processes and cycles implemented by banks

Requirements:

  • Professional experience in climate or sustainability-related fields, for example working with corporate decarbonisation, risk management or adaptation planning, or climate policy
  • Background in an enterprise interacting with climate risk data or working in a consultancy applying data for client projects
  • Understanding and knowledge of current trends in technology
  • Excellent communication skills, in particular, the ability to respond in clear concise English whether spoken, written, or presentation
  • Articulate key issues and concerns of customers, prospects and be able to design the overall solution with these in mind
  • Ability to operate at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Commercial awareness (understand pricing models and commercial aspects of sales process)
  • Passionate about demonstrating the value of Cervest solutions as well as demonstrating the art of the possible.
  • Relevant experience in enterprise-level software pre-sales is advantageous
  • Working with teams across different time zones.
  • Willing to travel, as required

Benefits:

As a rapidly scaling company on a mission, we are committed to ensuring that we support our team in developing in line with their aspirations and talents as well as continuing to develop our culture in line with our values.

We are a remote-first company and are hiring across Europe, the USA and beyond. We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working in a remote setting and with a diverse team distributed across multiple time zones. This job requires minimum travel for occasional regional or global team retreats only, using more sustainable transport methods (we’ll help with that) so generally within one time zone of the UK.

  • 22 days PTO a year + 3 days over the new year + plus local US public holidays.
  • 401K match with 5% capped at $5K and 100% invested from day 1.

  • Remote first company culture with flexible working hours
  • Maternity, paternity, adoption or shared parental leave policies
  • Every employee is given a plant of their choice
  • $1000 a year learning budget towards personal and professional development
  • 10% of your time can be used for projects that help us meet Cervest’s mission outside your day-to-day responsibilities
  • $500 stipend to spend on your work from home setup (we’ll cover your laptop and peripherals such as a screen and keyboard - you will be able to choose between a Mac or PC)
  • UnitedHealthCare Medical Cover & MetLife for Dental & Vision Packages.
  • Virtual team and company activities such as pastry-making classes, mindfulness classes, coffee masterclasses and murder mysteries
