Job Description

Are you an educator, writer, creator, producer, and electrification enthusiast all rolled into one? We need you. We’re building the most dynamic, creative, informative, and, well, electrifying educational content package the world has ever seen. It’ll be an online course for all types of learners, across a variety of sectors, ages, and educational levels. The key is to make it customizable and creative – think electric modules that can be packaged up into just the right course content for a range of audiences and stakeholders.

Scope of Work:

  • Oversee the shaping of a dynamic, multimedia educational experience, managing content creation across written course components, presentation material, and custom creative assets.
  • Write and shape content alongside our sector experts, distilling complex ideas into punchy, accessible content, and writing creative briefs for those content pieces.
  • Develop systems, processes, and workflows for assigning, editing, curating.
  • Work with our team as well as key education/electrification stakeholders/experts to build, edit, and refine content, making sure to include diverse perspectives that include low- and middle-income voices, and reflect geographic diversity.
  • Manage course creation timelines.
  • Work with our team to shape, budget, and plan creative, which will be done both in and out of house.
  • Recommend and utilize online education tools and platforms as necessary.
  • Test and refine content and presentation as necessary.
  • Be a trusted resource, partner, and sounding board for our team on all matters creative education content.


Deliverables:

  • Phase 1: Discovery
  • Phase 2: Development of initial course outline, content and production plans. Present recommendation to key stakeholders
  • Phase 3: Pre-production (scripting, talent sourcing, storyboarding.)
  • Phase 4: Develop modular course program including 3-4 hours of programming, apportioned into facilitated, pre-recorded pieces as necessary.12-18 multimedia creative pieces produced, including but not limited to:
    • Audio
    • Video interviews
    • Motion graphics/animation
    • Comics
  • Phase 5: Development and presentation of facilitation guide and notes
  • Phase 6: Presentation of final course to executive leadership team
  • Phase 7: Conduct student demos & refine materials based on feedback

Expected Timeline:

  • 4-6 months, with timing of each phase to be determined by contractor and Head Of Comms and Brand
  • During the project, this consultant will report to the Head of Comms and Brand and work with various internal and external stakeholders to develop the curriculum.
  • Start date: ASAP, pending references.

Compensation Terms:

Paid by an hourly rate or lump sum, contingent upon the review and approval of the contractor's proposal.
