Job Description

Are you looking to make a more positive impact in the world and use your marketing skills for good?

Does a role helping to improve electric vehicle affordability and accessibility for everyone sound rewarding to you? How about marketing cleantech programs and services that support a cleaner, more affordable and resilient US power grid?

We thought so. Let’s talk.

About us

ev.energy is a technology company on a mission to decarbonize transportation. Recently named “World’s Best Energy Start-up,” we are a diverse and fully-remote team of 70 working on an industry-leading algorithm that obtains real-time data from utilities to charge electric vehicles with the cheapest, greenest energy available while supporting the long-term stability and resilience of the power grid. We are a Certified B Corp™ that operates a smart-charging algorithm that dynamically aligns EV charging with intermittent low-carbon electricity, reducing carbon emissions from grid electricity by as much as 70%.

The role

We’re looking for a dynamic marketing professional who wants to broaden their skills by pushing the launch and scale-up of smart EV charging programs for our North American utilities and charger programs. This role will primarily support program growth objectives with our strategic commercial partners on the west coast of the US. In addition, you will also be responsible for building and managing direct-to-consumer digital campaigns across our US partner programs and the ev.energy mobile app in a national capacity. You will be given every opportunity to make a direct impact on the success of our commercial client programs, ev.energy’s revenues, and CO2 emissions reduction our technologies help unlock.

You should bring a proven track record of building and executing new digital marketing campaigns across a variety of channels. We seek an outgoing, strong communicator that can represent ev.energy well both at partner marketing meetings and while engaging directly with EV drivers at events. Reporting to the Head of US Marketing and working closely with the Head of North America, you will work cross-functionally with colleagues in design, utilities, chargers and growth.

What will you be doing?

  • Work directly with the Head of US Marketing and closely with the North American commercial team to launch and scale-up US partner marketing programs on the US West Coast
  • Planning, execution, testing and refinement of our digital marketing campaigns supporting utility and CCA managed charging programs
  •  Assisting with account management and reporting for utility and CCA partner marketing programs, as needed
  •  Planning and attending in-person EV events and trade-shows (across the US)
  • Supporting our relationships with EV owners associations
  • Having a hands-on approach to all areas of the role and marketing tasks
What are we looking for?
  • Extensive commercial experience with direct-to-consumer digital marketing experience
  • A positive, can-do attitude that’s willing to work hard and continuously adapt to a quickly-changing market in a high-growth organization
  • Digital advertising hard skills - App Store Ads, Meta Ads, Google Ads, GA
  • Hands-on experience with CRM tools (e.g. Braze, Hubspot, MailChimp etc.)
  • Comfortable representing ev.energy at Events & Tradeshows in person
  • Experience in any of the following would be a plus, but not required
  • Mobile app marketing, traditional marketing, or account management
  • Automotive, e-mobility, renewables, energy, or utilities industry
  • Startup environments or organizations with exponential growth

If you don’t have all of the requirements, but you’re really interested in what we’re doing, please apply anyway! We’d love to hear from you and may be able to tailor the role around your abilities and experience. We value applicants regardless of their background or years of experience.

How will we support you?

    • Everything you need to work remotely, investing in your home working setup or paying for access to a co-working space
