We are currently recruiting for our Paris office, Junior Product Analyst M/F (6 months)


Role

In this role, you will be working closely with the whole product team, in such a way that you both learn the core technologies and contribute to the development of new features that you pinpointed as crucial for success.

As an Analyst you will have very frequent interactions with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, as well as commercial and marketing teams to understand both tech and business aspects of the product. Analysts in Kayrros have a transversal role, as they contribute to product design and scoping, identify data leads, build and test models, analyze and visualize data, and promote Kayrros products commercially.

Indeed as a Product analyst, you will have to :

  • Understand energy markets and environmental data

  • Formulate problems in light of available data and value of information

  • Design and deliver working prototypes in a fast-paced environment and take leadership in pushing them to commercial stage with the help of data scientists and software engineers

  • Continuously provide ideas to improve products and keep ahead of the market

Interact with clients and gather feedback to integrate it to the existing products, or develop new products


Subjects

By joining Kayrros you will have the opportunity to work on a similar topic as:

  • Emissions: You will oversee the data generation process of the product Methane Watch, from data processing to final delivery to clients. You will also be in charge of leveraging the Methane Watch dataset along with data from external sources to produce analytical content (reports, benchmarks,...) on super-emissions of methane from fossil fuels. Finally, you are expected to be proactive in proposing use cases, new features, as well as process improvements on the product.

  • Renewable: After the industrialisation of a first successful product centered on the construction of large-scale solar farms, the team is looking for new projects to explore. In this context, we are looking for a data scientist/analyst intern who will be in charge of new explorations related to the energy transition theme.

  • Climate Risk: You will have the opportunity to produce analysis and decision reports based on state-of-the-art data produced by Kayrros. You will work on the evolution and monitoring of climate event as wildfires, drought or flooding.

  • Oil & Gas infrastructure: The oil and gas infrastructure team is responsible for monitoring the life cycle of energy facilities, from design to construction and operations. As part of the team, you will take a key position to handle the delivery of strategic projects for key clients.


Profile

This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking for a six-month end-of-studies internship starting between February and May 2023, and you want to work on environmental topics in a fast-growing start-up.

  • You are currently in your last year of engineering studies

  • You have a deep understanding of the energy sector and its environmental impact, and you are passionate about it

  • You have an analytical mindset and can solve problems in autonomy

  • You are dynamic, curious, eager to see the energy industry in ways you would have not thought of, and interested in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and satellite technology

  • You consider Python to be a useful tool to handle, process, and analyze data, and you are interested in sharpening your skills

  • You can communicate clearly in English, with both technical and business-oriented people
