Job Description

META is seeking an accountant based in Dartmouth, NS. You will play a key role in different areas in the finance department to help facilitate the growth of the department and the accuracy and efficiency of the work performed.


What You'll Do:

You will be involved in different areas of the finance department including month end closing, Accounts payable processing, internal controls implementation and various accounting tasks.


Some of the typical responsibilities will include:

• All aspects of A/P, including receiving & posting vendor invoices and payments, as well as tracking status in ERP and contacting vendors
• Reconciling bank accounts and other accounts with trial balance
• Compiling payables listings and arranging payments for approval by management
• Assist in preparing and posting monthly adjusting journal entries for assets, liabilities, loans, capital, revenue, expense, depreciation, and foreign exchange
• Strictly follow accounting and operational controls as implemented by management


Minimum qualifications:

• ERP systems
• Experience with internal controls
• Working with international subsidiaries, specifically US and UK
