Accounts Payable Accountant, EMEA (m/w/d)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
 As part of the EMEA Finance team with teams in Munich, Madrid, London and Cape Town, your main responsibilities will be:

• Process incoming invoices from all over the world using our digital workflow in SAP S / 4HANA

• You are responsible for the recording, pre-accounting and checking of accounts payable invoices and credit notes according to commercial and tax law regulations
• You keep an eye on the internal release control and ensure that it is implemented in the system
• In the event of unresolved issues, you will contact our supplier and resolve the process on your own responsibility

• Creating and maintaining master data and creating account assignment templates
• Helping with the review of purchase contracts regarding compliance with internal guidelines
• Supporting the implementation of the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing work, e.g. Control of sales revenue recognition or individual value adjustments of receivables as well as maintenance of sales tax accounts
• Helping with the preparation of advance VAT returns and INTRASTAT reports for various tax reporting countries
• In cooperation with external consultants and our IT department, you will monitor the sales tax code concept and its implementation in SAP S / 4HANA
• You will be involved in VAT case reviews of cross-border business transactions in close cooperation with our external consultants
• Check and process travel expense reports for our employees in SAP Concur
• You post the monthly credit card statements
• You bring in your suggestions for process optimization so that our work becomes steadily better COMPETENCIES

Your backpack is filled with
   

• Successfully completed commercial      training and / or completed business studies  
• At least 1-3 years of relevant      practical experience in accounts payable or a comparable position  
• Ideally first experience in SAP R / 3, S / 4HANA in the modules FI and SD or similar ERP systems  
• Safe handling of the      MS Office package (Word, Excel, PP, etc.)
