Job Description

Based in Grenoble (France), we have recently started operations our Verkor Innovation Centre (R&D centre and 4.0 pilot line).

We now focus on building the world’s most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France). With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 Gwh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually.  

In joining us you will actively participate in this breathtaking industrial adventure to shape the future of European mobility.

 We have an exciting opportunity as Continuous Improvement Engineer of the Verkor Innovation Center, our pilot line, in Grenoble. In this role, you'll ensure all processes and functions under their control perform correctly and efficiently while proposing corrective actions to lead the path to continuous improvement.


Responsabilities

  • Identifies operational problems by observing and studying the functioning and performance of systems.
  • Drives continuous improvement implementation project in an effort to improve productivity, production and ergonomy.
  • Provides operational management information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating and engineering trends.
  • Identifies priorities by assessing operational objectives like cost savings, energy conservation, and environmental quality.
  • Develops operational solutions by defining, studying, estimating, and testing alternative approaches.
  • Anticipates operational problems by studying operating targets, modes of operation, and unit limitations.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Uses and applies continuous improvement tools (lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S...)

Requirements

  • Technical degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • 3 years experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Kaizen, 5S et...)
  • Strong understanding of operations, services, and applications
  • Excellent engineering and manufacturing control
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A talent for technical innovation understanding
  • Languages: Professional French and English necessary
  • Temporary relocation to Gigafactory site in Dunkirk may be required in the future
