To reach our goal we are looking for an Embedded Engineer to help us develop our next generation charging station. At Qwello, you will be responsible for the software running on our charging station and our deployed stations' health. You will work closely with out hardware engineers to develop device drivers and application software written in C/Rust/Python. You are comfortable working with hardware and can use low level debugging tools (logic analyzer and oscilloscope) to debug hardware/software issues.

Your Responsibilities 🚀

  • Write software (Python/C/Rust) for our charging stations
  • Debug HW/SW issues on our charging stations
  • Develop HW/SW solutions to automate testing of our hardware
  • Prototype and evaluate the latest hardware technologies with our stations (BLE, LTE-M, Radar, Lidar, etc.)
  • Ensuring our stations' high uptime by improving the monitoring and testing of our station’s hardware/software
  • Improving our CI deployment/testing pipeline

Your Profile ✨

  • Electrical/computer engineering or similar background
  • Proficient in Python and C/C++. Rust is a plus
  • Embedded experience prototyping hardware/software on microcontrollers and embedded Linux distributions (Yocto)
  • Able to understand hardware schematics and design corresponding testing hardware/software 
  • At least 2 years of hands on experience in a comparable role
  • Practical experience using measurement tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer)
  • Ability to self-organise in an environment of changing priorities; willingness to work on multiple tasks/content switching
  • Fluency in English, German language knowledge is a plus
