PUR is recruiting its Global Chief Data Officer Based in Paris

            To develop its activities and accelerate its Impact, PUR is looking for a leader in Digital & Data Transformation in fast paced scale-up environment with a passion for positive Impact and Nature Regeneration. This ambitious role will be to accelerate the Digital & Data Transformation of PUR initiated in 2022 to make it the “Data Driven Nature Based Solutions Leader”, an Agro-forestry leader using cutting edge technologies to increase the ability to grow the Business, satisfy Clients, increase productivity of Operations, and scale its positive Impact worldwide.

As the global Chief Data Officer, you will work directly under the CEO and will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of the company.

Your responsibilities will include in a non-exhaustive manner:

• Give flesh to a Holistic Transformation Strategy to achieve the Vision with excellent execution

• Manage the technology budget and make investment to align PUR with its vision and strategy needs

• Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.

• Digital Transformation – Digitalize the Business Model & Operations to Scale 3X in 5 years

• Digitalization of Operations by developing specific Solutions to increase Productivity, from “Field to Desk”

• Develop Cutting-edge measurement technologies, using the best On-site & Remote Sensing capabilities, to feed PUR Data & Analytics platform in the making

• Digitalize Marketing further: support Marketing Director in leveraging Digital to optimize & deliver the Paid Owned Earned mix to gain visibility conversion & loyalty of B2B clients, with a focus on International development (Americas & Asia)

• Digitalization of Consulting practice: provide the best tools & ways of working to also increase Consultants productivity & ability to focus on value-added tasks

• Digital Client experience: provide technology & assets to Clients to let them pilot and tell the story through Digital Asset Management, Automated Dashboards & Reporting

• Data Acceleration - Help shape a Data Driven Organization

• Shape the Data & Analytics strategy to deliver the Vision, advising for an end-to-end Data Strategy that will create value for both PUR Operations & Clients

• Define the Data platform to deliver the “Field to Desk” vision, from requirements definition to agile development

• Implement Data Factory team & processes to deliver qualitative Data, from Data Acquisition to Calculations & Visualization, running with 99.9% SLA

• Client Analytics: develop start of the art dashboards & reporting that will provide transparent and up-to-date performance of Clients’ projects

• Develop & Manage the ecosystem or partners required to best acquire and leverage the Data, including partnerships with Accademia & Research partners to advance the cause of Nature Regeneration, leveraging PUR unique field Data.

• IT Infrastructure in the Cloud – Centralized & simple systems for Global Agility of Teams

• Manage the internal IT infrastructure to support the productivity, collaboration, security & rapid growth of the teams internationally, driving international convergence & selection of tools

• Manage the evolution of the ERP system to support the growth

• Implement high quality IT support function to

• Responsible for the global data security level

• Responsible for the global GDPR and local protection laws

• Management & Change – empowering the teams to Transform & embark the Clients

• Directly Managing & growing initial team of 10 based worldwide- 2X in the next 2 years

• Internal Change: tooling & upskilling of Operations & Sales teams to make the best use of the tech

• External Change: support key clients for adoption and define the Services evolutions

• Digital Thought Leadership – raise PUR unique voice on how Tech can support Nature Regeneration

  • Structure PUR voice & communications to demonstrate it’s smart usage of technologies to reinforce its leadership and reputation with Clients & Partners

  • Represent PUR in key events & medias

The technical stacks we use :

Python (pandas, Django), PostgreSQL, Vue.js, Guthub, Azure, QGIS, Power BI

We are looking for a candidate with:

• Passion for Nature Regeneration & Transforming Business

• MSc in Computer Science & similar education

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Digital & Data Transformation Role

• Experience in a fast international growing environment (scale-up environment)

• Ideally some experience in Sustainability or Impact, or a least a strong interest

• Some experience with large Corporations a plus

• Great people management & change management skills

• Good communications skills

• Fluent in French and English. Spanish would be an asset.
