As a Software Engineer AI / MPC (all genders) you will be responsible for R&D to apply MPC (Model Predictive Control) on HVAC systems by designing thermodynamic models that can do predictions and develop optimization algorithms to choose the most efficient target setpoints. Why DABBEL?

What the role looks like...
You work on developing grey box models to be used by our core software, enabling it to make accurate predictions and optimize building management systems more effectively
You evaluate the current implementation and do R&D of MPC controls to be applied on more different types of buildings
You generate reports of the research results and validate the viability together with the engineering team
3+ years developing software in Python (+ Pandas)
Deep knowledge in AI, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning for control systems, time-series forecasting, optimization algorithms (e.g., genetic algorithms, particle swarm optimization), and MPC techniques, among others
Background in Physics and thermodynamics
Basic concepts on control systems engineering and BMS (Building Management Systems)
Worked on a project creating a digital twin of a physical system
Knowledge of Control Systems
Experience leading R&D teams and good reporting skills.
Wide know-how of different AI models and techniques
Experience in working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
Data-driven, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Fluent English (at least C1)
Nice to have: Worked with R&D on developing MPC for buildings or HVAC systems
