What a Security Engineer does at gridX

As a Security Engineer at gridX you would work creatively and have the chance to introduce new ideas to optimize the security of our systems. 

You work generalistically and implement security best practices with different teams and stakeholders and hold trainings and workshops to increase their awareness of security. For example, you are also the contact for internal and external security related issues that contribute to edge and cloud security. This also includes a good understanding and interest in modern software development.

Your profile

As an Security Engineer, you ideally bring the following with you

• As we are looking for someone who has worked in this role before, you bring at least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering with focus on security

• You have experience in working with relevant security benchmarks like CIS and certifications like ISO e.g. ISO27001, ISO27018, ISO22301, SOC II/III or GDPR

• Web security threats such as SQLi, XSS or CSRF is familiar to you and you have approaches on how to prevent them

• The focus of this position is not on coding skills, but you have a good understanding of modern software development e.g. in Golang, Python and/ or Javascript to be able to understand questions or problems of the software teams

• You have patience and understanding that not everyone has a technical background and can adapt things at the same speed
