Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Vehicle Electronics Test and Validation Engineer to join our growing Validation team. This role will be based from one of our test locations in the Midlands with the option of flexible working (2-3 days in the office).

What you will do:

  • You will be joining the test and validation department and have exposure to all other electrical domains. The team is responsible for electronics and control systems test and validation.
  • Writing Test procedure against Component / System requirements, cross domains.
  • Classify the Test Procedure between Manual and Automated Test cases, development of Test Cases for manual an Automation.
  • Raising Issue tickets and presenting issues in Daily/Weekly System level meetings.
  • Perform Manual/Automation testing in full vehicle testing or system  HIL assets.
  • Conducting the system test at  full vehicle Level coverage.
  • Growing the virtual prototype at vehicle level.

We would like you to have:

  • 5+ years relevant experience (on similar roles). EV is a plus.
  • Must have knowledge in Automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN. (Ethernet Knowledge – Desirable).
  • Must have experience in Automotive requirement management which includes understanding of component/System level requirements, derivation of “Design Verification Method” and “Design Verification Procedure”.
  • Must have hands on experience on any of the Vector tools like CANoe or CANalyzer.
  • Good Skills in Trouble shooting/Debugging, in Vehicle electrical systems.
  • Significant experience in Automotive Labcar mules or similar integration platforms .
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Inter-personal skills to work in a team
  • Simulation tools exposure; MathWorks, dSPACE, VECTOR VT System.
  • Diagnosis tools exposure. Calibration tools.
  • Valid driving license and Vehicle.
  • Being able to commute between Warwickshire, and test facilities in Nuneaton.
