Position Title: LTSA Cost Manager (Mid or Senior Level)

You will enjoy challenging but rewarding projects by working with global customer base who are on the frontlines fighting to reduce emission and carbon. We are looking for someone with an engineering and/or service background who can take awarded contracts from the sales team, work with service, engineering and procurement teams to devise an optimal techno economical solution for our customers.
What you will do
Responsible long term service sizing and costing for utility scale ESS equipment
Identify, communicate, and resolve contractual and commercial risks
Responsible for accurately taking project scope and transferring to technical and non-technical LTSA exhibits
Work with internal and external counsel on contract negotiations
Communicate through sales team with customers, service and engineering teams, and senior management as necessary to ensure contract requirements are acceptable
Manage Energy Vault’s risk through contractual terms that reflect a risk level appropriate for an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
Responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining LTSA sizing and costing tools
Work with procurement teams on a regular basis to stay up to date on spare parts and warranty costs provided by the OEM
Develop necessary tools and processes to drive continuous improvement in Energy Vault’s customer proposals and offerings
Work with business development team to identify strategic opportunities
What a qualified candidate should possess
BS in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or similar)
Experience with electrical power systems designed for power generation, distribution, and storage
2-5 years of experience with Renewable Generation technologies
2-5 years of engineering experience with Energy Storage Systems (ESS) is highly preferred
Experience managing all aspects of technical solution proposal including site evaluation and analysis, technology selection and optimization, detailed costing and estimating
Basic knowledge of IEC and IEEE requirements in renewable and energy storage industry
Experience in electrical design including basic conductor sizing, protection and controls configuration and familiarity with Substation design and engineering concepts
Experience with long term servicing and maintenance experience, a plus
Good knowledge and understanding of inverter-based power systems including basic design principles and limitations
Good understanding of electricity markets and products and use cases realized by Energy Storage systems
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
Comfortable in fast-paced, rapid growth environments
