Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact in the development and execution of test strategies for new firmware applications and hardware components to ensure on-time delivery and requirements are met.
  • Interface with the hardware, firmware, and software teams to understand system design and translate them into test requirements.
  • Research hardware components data sheets to develop system stress tests requirement.
  • Design, develop, execute, and troubleshoot test procedures for firmware features, applications, and subsystems.

Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field with 3+ years of experience with verification/validation testing, hardware in the loop (HIL) testing, and embedded systems
  • Reading schematics and component data sheets
  • Using laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, e-loads, data acquisition systems, multimeters, and power analyzers
  • Using a scripting language, such as Python, C#, or C/C++, to create automated tests
  • General understanding of various testing methodologies such as integration testing, functional testing, system testing.

Preferred

  • Using tools such as Jira, GitHub or Azure for software configuration defect tracking.
  • DevOps, automated testing, or continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
