At Scope Zero, we&rsquo;re creating a new employee benefit called a Carbon Savings Account&trade; (CSA); think HSA, but for home technology and personal transportation upgrades. We have a functional product and are launching with paid customers in Q2 2023. We have raised a pre-seed round from institutional investors and are ready to bring on another full-stack engineer (reporting to our Head of Engineering) to support customer launch and accelerate the development of our upcoming core features. We&rsquo;re a small team, so this role will have the opportunity to grow as we expand the team in the coming years.
Key areas of focus for this role include
<ul>
<li>Backend API integrations</li>
<li>Ledger infrastructure for financial transactions and security</li>
<li>Front-end development based on user feedback and to support new functionality</li>
<li>Development of partner vendor marketplace</li>
<li>Creation of internal administrative tools to enable the Scope Zero team to support customers effectively</li>
</ul>
Our tech stack includes Python (Django framework) and React on the front end. We leverage Docker and GitHub for CI/CD and operate via AWS.
An ideal candidate would have
<ul>
<li>3+ years experience in web application development with relevant experience in our stack</li>
<li>Desire to have ownership and responsibility over the development of key and core features</li>
<li>Work experience in an early-stage startup</li>
<li>Passion for decarbonizing the built environment</li>
</ul>
Nice to haves
<ul>
<li>Experience in financial technology development and platform development in a regulated industry</li>
<li>Available to meet in person periodically in the San Francisco Bay or Seattle areas</li>
