SUMMARY

The Dispatch Scheduler at Nexamp is responsible for creating operating schedules for dispatchable assets within the ISO New England market. This individual will work directly with Nexamp’s Operation Center and sit within the Asset Management team. This individual will also have significant room for growth and development throughout their tenure at Nexamp.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute optimized daily schedules for all dispatchable generating assets

  • Be the primary liaison between Nexamp’s Asset Management team and Nexamp’s Operations Center, detailing key requirements for any new or ongoing projects

  • Document and communicate the development of new tools and strategies to the Operations Center staff and ensure new operating procedures are being effectively rolled out

  • Support portfolio management and strategy teams by giving upstream feedback

  • Perform spot checks to ensure projects are following schedule accordingly

  • Work to improve process flow from generation of schedule to schedule input into system

  • Work with SCADA and Operations Center teams to troubleshoot and modify schedules in real time

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 to 3 years at an ISO, utility, or energy company in real time operations, scheduling, rate analysis, or performance analysis of distribution, transmission, or generating assets

  • Understanding of US power and ancillary service markets with a preference for ISO New England market knowledge

  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel ability

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects and initiatives

  • Bachelors or Masters in Finance, Data Science or any Engineering Discipline preferred but not required
