Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will be making decisions affecting architecture of the tests including which test equipment to use to fulfill the test procedure.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Develop automatic testers for production for electrical testing of Tigo products

• Maintain existing testers

• Decision making affecting architecture of the tests including which test equipment to
  use to fulfill the test procedure

• Write automated test code, using the same standards as a Software Engineer, that
  allows for repeatable, reliable testing solutions to test the functionality of products

• Maintaining automation codebase in a version control system

• Perform statistics of the test results to improve the reliability of the production tester.

• Partners with software engineers, hardware engineers and NPI team to build and write
  efficient automatic testers using coding standards and best practices.

• Work with software engineers, hardware engineers, QA team to investigate problems,
  failures referred by the contract manufacturer.

• Manage the technical support for all test hardware and software deployed to
  manufacturing partners in China

• Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in own discipline. Usually determines
  own work priorities

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE TO SEE

• BA Degree or equivalent – Computer Science

• 2 years of hands-on experience as a SDET

• Experienced with C and C#, Windows, and Linux

• Experience with SCPI Protocol/commands

• Experience writing software to automate process to control the following test equipment: DVM, power supply, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator etc…

• Familiar with Protocols: RS232, USB, TCP-IP 

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics 

• Experience with developing automatic testers for mass production 

• System Orientation

IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAD

• Experience with SQL
