Job Description

Working Student, Operations & Finance ­­– (F/M/X) – remote or in Freiburg/Frankfurt – 50% ­–  Greentech/Carbon Removal

You are looking for a chance to gain practical experience alongside your business studies? And rather than seeing limited aspects at a big corporate you are keen to get to know the business side of a thriving green-tech start-up? As a Working Student Operations & Finance you will have the chance to do exactly that. In this role you will be responsible for our accounting process and apply your passion for numbers and great eye for detail to various operational tasks.

What you'll do 

As part of a small finance team (working with an external tax firm) you’ll get involved in all the accounting and finance matters and challenges a growing start-up faces. You will be responsible for the accounting process and office management of the financial aspects. You’ll work globally supporting our offices, colleagues, and operations in DACH, the US and further afield as we continue to grow. 

  • Support the finance team by preparing the accounting documents, check invoices and prepare payments
  • Act as the contact person for the team regarding travel costs and invoices
  • You will work close with our COO and support her and the team in developing necessary controlling, liquidity and risk management reports and setting up operational excellence in a fast-growing start-up environment
  • Gain experience in other departments of the company (e.g. Marketing, Legal, Compliance, People&Culture)
  • Take on your own projects when you’re ready

    What you bring to the table 

    • You’ve had basic experience in administrative task through internships or student jobs or are willing to learn fast.
    • Numbers and expenses don’t scare you but you feel the need to organize them.
    • You can work at least 15 hours per week.
    • You are enrolled as a bachelor or master student.
    • Willing to take on responsibility and self-motivated.
    • Fluent German with a good level of English
     to your heart

  • You’ve had basic working experience in Legal through Internships or other Student jobs
