$52,000 - $84,760   

Position Overview 

The Clean Energy Buyer’s Alliance Market and Policy Innovation team works to solve the toughest market and policy barriers and deploy solutions for large energy customers to pursue clean energy and decarbonize the grid.  Strategically and programmatically, the team is organized around three major transformations: decarbonizing the grid for all, unlocking markets, and catalyzing energy customers.  

The Coordinator of Market Policy and Innovation will be responsible for projects, tasks, deliverables, and communications that support the Market and Policy Innovation team, including coordination and engagement with key advisory committees, tracking and reporting key performance indicators, supporting and participating in workshops and events, developing external deliverables in coordination with the Strategic Communications team, and performing analysis and research that underpins programmatic work.   

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Manage weekly communications and monthly meetings for the Buyers Policy Team 
  • Support communications and relationship development with advisory committees, working groups, policy teams and other ad hoc committees 
  • Provide logistical support for workshops, meetings, webinars, and other discussions to advance programmatic goals 
  • Create presentations and other external deliverables in coordination with the Market and Policy Innovation team and Strategic Communications department 
  • Participate and assist with convenings and education of clean energy customers and other stakeholders 
  • Help manage and track key performance indicators for the Market and Policy Innovation team, including regulatory filings, meetings, speaking engagements 
  • Support Market and Policy Innovation updates to the Alliance web site  
  • Help develop resources, including customer priorities, principles, primers, white papers, guidance documents, policy principles, and frameworks 
  • Contribute to blogs and thought leadership pieces informed by energy customers and industry experts 
  • Provide support to all team members to meet timelines, budgets, and other requirements 
  • Support the team on grant deliverables, as appropriate and needed 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:  

Required: 

  • 1-2 years of experience and some college/university course work   

Additional:  

  • Knowledge related to electricity markets and corporate, industrial, and institutional clean energy procurement preferred 
  • Demonstrated effective communication (verbal and/or written) skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and contribute to insightful analyses using qualitative and quantitative approaches 
  • Experience executing on projects and tasks that deliver high quality products and results 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively

Physical Demands: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
  • Communicate verbally and in written form with great facility and must be able to be understood
