Job Description

EnergyHub empowers utilities and their customers to create a clean, distributed energy future. We help consumers turn their smart thermostats, EVs, batteries, and other products into virtual power plants that keep the grid stable and enable higher penetration of solar and wind power.

The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for optimizing the customer acceptance and retention rates by executing email marketing campaigns, creating landing page optimization tests, developing reporting, and analyzing results of these campaigns.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with email marketing skills to expand their experience into email lifecycle automation at an enterprise level.

Main Responsibilities

  • Scale winning email strategies across EnergyHub’s portfolio of 40+ clients to improve middle of the funnel conversions and customer retention
  • Create automated emails, welcome series, and re-engagement campaigns with HubSpot
  • Design A/B testing strategies, documenting these tests to create a new testing library for our team to learn and iterate from
  • Identify and analyze email metrics to improve conversion rates and plan future email campaigns
  • Managing email calendars, segmenting lists, and maintaining databases 
  • Work to improve our retention and recovery metrics, optimizing emails we send to re-engage and build out our customer lifecycle
  • Optimize all points of our referral platform, from marketing emails through the referral acquisition flow, unlocking ways for us to scale this channel

Key Skills and Experience

  • 2-3 years of digital marketing experience and a BA/BS
  • Strong project management skills including: conceptualization; analysis; driving alignment; planning resources; managing milestones and meeting objectives, internally and with external partners
  • Experience executing email marketing campaigns with a major email service provider 
  • Experience with HubSpot is preferred, or experience with other CRM platforms
  • Experience working with web analytics to create reports and measure effectiveness of programs and marketing campaigns across multiple channels, specifically Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Optimize
  • Strong Excel, Powerpoint and HTML skills 
  • A scrappy self-starter attitude - willing to roll up your sleeves and drive projects to completion
  • A strong work ethic, love of testing, and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Effective communication skills and are an excellent writer

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
