Project Manager  (Hybrid)

FLSA Classification: Exempt 

Salary Range: $120,000 -$140,000

Reports to: Director, Construction Management

Job Summary

The Project Manager (PM) works directly with NineDot Energy’s Director, Construction Management and all levels of management throughout the organization to assist the team on projects and ad hoc assignments. The PM will work with external vendors and consultants to ensure timely responsiveness to project deliverables and adherence to project schedules. They will work directly with the Director, Construction Management to further develop policies and operational processes that will help develop an agile and scalable organization through its growth.  The PM will have opportunities to have ownership and accountability over projects with potential for career growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the operations team on projects and assignments;
  • Proactively manage project-related issues;
  • May conduct and document project specific weekly meetings, prepare/update project status reports and maintain files for due diligence and financials;
  • Coordinate activities of vendors (EPC, Specialty Vendors, etc.) to ensure full compliance with all project policies and procedures;
  • Proactive, meets project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner;
  • Provide support to the VP of Operations and Director, Construction Management;
  • Maintains vendor relationships and may assist in or manage conflict resolution;
  • Develops relationships with consultants/contractors/vendors and evaluates their performance;
  • Operates independently on activities relevant to the project;
  • Report and escalate to management as needed;
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation;
  • Assist with developing executive level dashboards identifying critical path milestones, schedule risks, and other key data needed;
  • Facilitate and document lessons learned meeting with project stakeholders and suppliers as part of project closeout process;
  • Assist in Procurement with bid development, supporting negotiating and awarding of contracts and monitor contracts for compliance;
  • Manage and monitor EPC / subcontractors;
  • Review and monitor contractors progress against schedule and ensure key project milestones are being achieved and reported;
  • Actively identify and manage critical path issues and risks to obviate and minimize project impacts at all stages of project maturity.

Required education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or construction management;
  • 5+ years of Project Management/Development/Construction;
  • Passion/history for clean energy projects is a plus;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others apprised of status with respect to deadlines;
  • Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions;
  • Must be detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast paced, and constantly evolving environment;
  • Team player to work in concert with all teams;
  • Proficient in Google Suite;
  • Schedule software (MS Project) experience is a plus;
  • Possess a current valid driver’s license;
  • Tenacity, persistence and determination to succeed;
  • Excellent personal organization and time management skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time, and prioritize workload.
