View Company Profileev.energy is a Certified B Corp™ technology company on a mission to help energy and automotive companies rapidly accelerate transport electrification. Named “World’s Best Energy Start-up” and a “Rising Star” by S&P Global, we are a diverse and fully-remote team working on an industry-leading software platform that obtains real-time data from utilities to charge electric vehicles with the cheapest, greenest energy available while supporting the long-term stability and resilience of the power grid. We go to market with utilities and energy retailers across the world and administer managed EV charging programs for their customers, who are residential and commercial EV drivers, to help them earn incentives for low-carbon, grid-friendly charging.
The role
We're building the world’s largest Virtual Power Plant by connecting electric vehicles with the energy system. To date we have a community of over 100,000 EV drivers who are helping to balance smart electricity grids across the US, Europe and Australia.
We are looking for a talented professional with commercial and technical experience in Demand Side Response to help scale our grid services business across North America.
In this role, you will be working to accelerate the decarbonization of transport and energy by expanding our Virtual Power Plant and making electric vehicles part of the solution for a smart, flexible, zero-carbon energy system.
Day to day, you’ll be leading the development of our virtual power plant and grid service contracts in North America. You’ll be working to unlock and scale new flexibility contracts with energy utilities across California, Texas and other markets. You’ll also work closely with the commercial, growth and engineering teams to help shape our technology roadmap and the product propositions we offer to EV drivers, energy networks, energy retailers, charger manufacturers and vehicle OEMs.
This industry is moving fast, and this role will involve keeping up to date with key policy and regulation evolving in the EV and Net-Zero space. This position is fully remote, ideally positioned in the USA with ability to travel to meet key contacts in California, the North East US and other key grid service markets. We have regular local meet-ups and quarterly company team weeks to keep everyone connected and supported.
What will you do?
What are we looking for?
If you don’t have all of the requirements, but you’re really interested in what we’re doing, please apply anyway! We’d love to hear from you and may be able to tailor the role around your abilities and experience. We value applicants regardless of their background or years of experience.
