Group Product Manager, Energy Management

The role

You will lead the team of product managers in our Energy Management product area. Your team’s mission will be to manage more kWh demand for our EV drivers, saving them money, and making the grid greener and more stable. Your portfolio will include our virtual power plant, energy systems data, and our utilities program products and dashboards. In this role, you will be coordinating 20+ engineers and designers, and working closely with commercial leadership in our global utilities and grid services teams. As a leader on ev.energy’s Product team you will also play a key role in building the culture and ways of working for this fast-growing function. 

What will you do? 

• Hire, mentor and line-manage a diverse team of PMs
• Own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for our Energy Management portfolio
• This includes our virtual power plant, energy systems data, utilities program products, and energy dashboards
• Collaborate with commercial leadership and the leaders of other product areas to establish a shared vision for Energy Management, and drive it to execution
• Work closely with design, engineering and analytics identify and drive initiatives to manage more kWh of flexibility, increase utility NPS, and improve program engagement
• Oversee the evolution of the organization structure and ways of working for our growing Energy Management group, and broader Product function
• Foster outcome oriented decision-making for your team; define metrics, set empowering goals, and create rituals to monitor performance

What are we looking for?

• Extensive experience in product management, building roadmaps, prioritizing initiatives, and empowering consistent outcomes
• A strong track record of hiring, leading and coaching a team of product managers, including Senior Product Managers
• You have worked with senior leaders and managed expectations senior partners from several different disciplines and diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrated commercial and business awareness: you’ll be able to articulate the purpose of your team’s work in the eyes of the customer and the wider business
• You know how to build products that scale
• Experience running large cross-functional projects
• Experience with complex B2B or B2B2C products
• Domain knowledge of EVs or energy flexibility products (preferably through direct experience)
