Sustainability / Climate Change Consultant (m/f/d)

What you will do<br> Join us in helping companies of different sizes and industries take their own climate action today. We are dedicated to working as a team towards our common goal: making net zero a reality. <br> <br>Become part of our Customer Management team in Boston, where we enable organizations to start their climate action journey, both at the product and company level. We help companies measure their carbon footprints, set goals, define reduction strategies, finance climate projects and communicate their efforts transparently. For leading companies, we embed climate action into their business through our unique certification – ClimatePartner Certified. In this position you will: <br><br><ul><li>Act as a customer manager across various industries such as Consumer Goods &amp; Retail, Food &amp; Beverage, Clothing, Energy, and Finance</li><li>Calculate corporate and product carbon footprints (Scope 1, 2 and 3)</li><li>Support and guiding our clients through our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tool</li><li>Help with the collection of quality input data for carbon footprints</li><li>Research and assign emission factors to improve our database as well as ensure alignment with various standards (e.g.GHG Protocol, SBTi) to improve our carbon footprint software and reports</li><li>Support our clients in identifying carbon hotspots and devising carbon reduction strategies at a high level</li><li>Present results of the footprints and facilitate discussions around next steps</li><li>Lead workshops with our clients on goal setting, reduction strategies, renewable energy and offsetting strategies</li><li>Prepare proposals for clients based on their needs</li><li>Provide insights on sustainability claims, communications and marketing initiatives based on the core pillars of transparency and credibility</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues in the US and Europe</li></ul> Who you are<br> <ul><li>You have at least 4-7 years of professional experience in environmental / sustainability consulting or equivalent in-house role</li><li>You are knowledgeable about the GHG Protocols and SBTi standards surrounding carbon accounting and goal setting</li><li>You have previous exposure to carbon accounting</li><li>You have an affinity for numbers, excellent analytical skills and are very comfortable in using Excel to an advanced level</li><li>You are incredibly passionate about sustainability, climate change and are driven by a strong conviction for climate action</li><li>You are an excellent project manager and can manage multiple complex projects effectively</li><li>You build relationships easily and believe in educating clients as a tool to build trust</li><li>You have exceptional communication skills and can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and at a management level</li><li>You have an entrepreneurial mindset, sense of responsibility and willingness to take initiative</li><li>Your English language skills (written and verbal) are at a native level</li></ul><br>Desired, but not required:<br><br><ul><li>You have experience in life cycle analysis, corporate social responsibility strategy, climate risk, and CDP/TCFD reporting </li><li>You have a technical sustainability-related university degree or similar educational qualification</li></ul> Benefits<br> <ul><li><strong>Purpose</strong>: Working together to take effective climate action and improve lives.
