Sustainable Events Manager - Sustainable Workspaces

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Sustainable Events Manager to lead our event sales. Our unique spaces are designed to inspire creativity and collaboration in a purpose-driven environment.

Workspaces currently operates one site in London’s County Hall (opposite Westminster), a 40,000 sqft co-working space dedicated to sustainability and climate tech innovation, with over 1000 entrepreneurs and innovators.

The Role

The Sustainable Events Manager will have a passion for and an understanding of the sustainability sector. This person will lead the creation and implementation of the events sales strategy. They will hold full responsibility over our events spaces, ensuring the creation of our world class events calendar at County Hall that builds and maintains the vibrant ecosystem. They will require a commercial mindset as well as an understanding of Sustainable Ventures in order to communicate the value of Sustainable Workspaces to prospective clients.

This person will process enquiries which come in via marketing channels, qualifying leads, setting up initial phone calls, carrying out tours.

They will also work closely with the Venture Support team within Sustainable Ventures, to ensure we are making valuable connections between service offerings and maximising value for the businesses in the ecosystem through engagement with Sustainable Ventures.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Creation and implementation of our sales strategy
  • Transform event inquiries into reservations
  • Actively discover potential sales prospects
  • Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external clients
  • Ensure achievement of predetermined revenue goals
  • Expand the customer contact database
  • Cultivate connections with event agencies and external partners
  • Produce weekly and monthly management reports

You will play a key role in supporting our team across a number of projects.

Requirements

Person Specification

  • Passion for sustainability & environment issues
  • Previous sales experience at a sustainable company or coworking space within London
  • Experience in a customer-facing / hospitality role
  • Sales-minded with the ability to negotiate
  • People-person who thrives on learning about new people and businesses
  • Detail oriented, problem solver and highly adaptable
  • Ability to maintain a smile, no matter the challenge

Additional Details

  • Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible schedule between 08:00 an 18:00 (including occasional evenings for member events)
  • Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays
  • Salary: OTE £45k depending on experience, extensive bonus & long-term incentive scheme
