<p>Spherical is hiring a full-stack Software Engineer to join our team in developing web-based tools that support living infrastructure in Los Angeles and beyond. This is a full-time remote position.</p>

<p>Spherical is a creative technology studio supporting projects regenerating the health and integrity of Earth&rsquo;s living systems. In collaboration with <a href="https://acceleratela.org/">ARLA</a>, we are developing an open-source field kit of tools to support community-driven climate resilience in Los Angeles and beyond. <h2>What You Need</h2>
<ul>
<li>4+ years of experience as a professional software developer</li>
<li>2+ years experience working on full-stack web apps (SPAs) in JavaScript/Typescript</li>
<li>Experience designing and managing databases (RDBMS or NoSQL)</li>
<li>Experience writing and maintaining automated tests</li>
<li>Ability to work in a self-directed manner within a non-hierarchical team</li>
<li>Bonus points for experience with: cartography, Mapbox, geographic data visualization, realtime web apps, WebGL/3D graphics, accessibility</li>

<p><strong>About Spherical</strong></p><p>Spherical is a creative technology studio supporting projects regenerating the health and integrity of Earth’s living systems.</p><p><strong>Current Project</strong></p><p>Spherical is building a field kit of open-source tools to support community-driven climate resilience in Los Angeles. Co-designed with community organizers, climate scientists, policymakers, and infrastructure developers, our tools support diverse communities in dreaming into collective visions of whole, more-than-human futures. Our field kit includes interactive media for teaching whole-systems approaches to climate resilience, a tool to support collaborative visioning, and a game for sketching possible scenarios. This unique assemblage of domains and media calls for a diverse team of creative collaborators.
