We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Pricing Analyst with experience pricing C&I customers. This is a contract position (20 hours a week) with possibility of contract-to-hire and offers the flexibility of remote work. As an Pricing Analyst, you will play a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for deriving accurate pricing for C&I customers while ensuring prompt and competitive pricing for our Sales teams. This dynamic and fast-paced position involves managing multiple pricing proposals simultaneously, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of pricing outputs. In this role, having operations and contracting experience is a bonus. If you are a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with a background in retail electricity, we want to hear from you.


  • C&I Contract Pricing: Generate accurate pricing for new and existing customers. Validate data inputs to ensure accuracy and reliability. Ensure comprehensive analysis of historic and forecasted customer energy consumption. Work closely with various teams to reflect correct market-based price curves in the pricing models. Support and enhance detailed pricing models that evaluate margins (inputs to these models include product type, price points, churn, and usage shaping).
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Coordinate and maintain effective communication with different departments such as Sales, Legal, Billing, and Operations to ensure customer needs are met, including performing ad-hoc analysis and problem-solving.
  • Sales Support: Provide training and market insights specific to contracts to the sales team on an as-needed basis to enhance their understanding of pricing dynamics for this customer segment.
  • Technical Development: Develop technical capabilities as required to facilitate the enhancement of the pricing process.
  • Analytical Insight: Apply a strong analytical skill set and commercial insight to understand the commercial impact of pricing decisions. Ensure due diligence and provide a sound rationale for decision-making that impacts risk and profitability.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the success of the Pricing team and Gridmatic as a whole.

You might be a good fit if you:

  • Minimum 2 years of commercial work experience in the power markets in the U.S. is required with a proven history of executing successful transactions or supporting major transactions.
  • Knowledge of power and environmental products markets. Understanding of relevant RTO’s or bi-lateral market concepts. Knowledge of ERCOT and CAISO markets is a plus. 
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of setting and executing strategy to accomplish goals. Proven experience in developing client relationships. 
  • Experience working to and exceeding targets. 
  • Some travel required to interface with customers. 
  • Legal authorization to work in the US.
