Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Involvement in finance-related activities like monthly closing, controlling, forecasting, and budgeting;
• Ensure all financial data is complete and accurate and all transactions are consistent with applicable accounting policies and frameworks;
• Work closely with the accounting team;
• Prepare various types of account reconciliations and clarify differences;
• Undertake variance analysis and explain month-on-month movements;
• Support preparation of monthly and ad-hoc reports for the Executive Management;
• Support preparation of annual financial statements;
• Support coordination and communication with external audit providers and tax advisors;
• Proactively support the development and set up of finance-related business processes and controls in the Company;
• Proactively make suggestions for optimisation of the financial process where needed;
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.

Must have

• 1 - 3 years of industry experience as a Financial Controller;
• Good understanding of standard business processes in Finance, Marketing, and Sales Ops;
• Willingness to learn new applications or business processes based on the organization's needs;
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail;
• Pro-active problem-solving skills;
• Reporting skills;
• Excellent time management and personal organization skills;
• Fluency in English - written and verbal;
• BA/MA in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration;
• Expertise in using spreadsheets/macros;
• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, or similar software;

Considered an advantage

• Relevant experience in a SaaS company.
• ACCA certified or student.
