Your role

Join our multidisciplinary team as an Architect and play a vital role in our company's success through your innovative and spatial thinking. Your design expertise will create station layouts that prioritize customer experience and seamlessly incorporate our modular Fastned stations into highway service areas. In the upcoming year, your primary focus will be on permitting and contracting for new locations.

As an Architect, your key responsibilities include

• Designing station facilities for new sites, starting from the initial concept sketch and site analysis, all the way through the permitting process with regional and local authorities.

• Additionally, you'll be dedicated to enhancing our existing projects to ensure they align with our latest design standards.

• You'll collaborate closely with our local Belgian team, which includes fellow architects, expansion managers, and construction managers. You'll also maintain connections with our architects based in Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and France.

Our welcoming office is conveniently located near Watersportbaan in Ghent.

Who we are looking for

We're looking for an architect ready to take charge, overseeing projects in Belgium, with a particular focus on Wallonia and Brussels, from the initial design stage through the permitting process. You are passionate about using your architectural skills to have an impact in the transition to sustainable mobility and are curious to learn more about it. "Think like a founder" is something you can identify yourself with. In addition, you meet the following criteria:

• 2-5 years of pertinent professional experience

• Comfortable engaging with regulatory authorities to discuss project matters

• You know your way around Wallonian/Brussels permit procedures

• Being a true team player, you possess the ability to think independently, take initiative, and work autonomously.

• You understand the significance of branding and visual identity and have a knack for incorporating traffic safety regulations into your design proposals

• You own a creative mindset, with a bonus if you can craft compelling visuals

• Fluent in French and English at a business level

• A big plus if you are experienced in AutoCAD, with a solid grasp of Revit

• Extra credit for experience in the retail sector
