We are Europe's leading solar tech company, bringing clean energy to every home. Otovo delivers solar installations across Europe through cutting-edge technology and design. Since our launch in Norway in 2016, we've come a long way. Currently, we have around 500 employees in 13 countries in Europe, with around 100 working from Norway. Although the product team is based in the Oslo office, we work with all of Europe, and you will feel like a part of an international company.

Otovo values the effort of the summer students, and their contribution will become a part of our product. This year the students delivered an HSEQ reporting and monitoring experience. Last year the project was an app to simplify the life of our installers. And the year before that, we got a health monitoring app to automatically detect issues with the installed solar panels.

We are dealing with climate change, growing demand for green energy, and high electricity prices. You will be working on digital systems enabling people to go solar. As a designer, you will be navigating challenges around energy consumption and introducing solar systems across varied cultures and geography.

What you'll bring

✨ Care about user experience. Good understanding of the interaction and visual design processes, methods, and tools

🔥 Strong interest in your field. An online or PDF portfolio of projects and independent explorations to demonstrate your hands-on design conceptualization and execution skills

🔋 Problem solving. We trust you to find the best way to solve the problem you are assigned.

🎓 In your 3rd or 4th school year. Others can apply, but it'll probably be harder to compete.

What you'll do

• Partner with the summer developer team in conceptualizing and delivering a relevant solution
  
• Own the design from concept creation to hand-off.  
• Deliver design concepts, wireframes, visual comps, and user tests.

• Get first-hand experience shaping a growing international product.

• Turn your design ideas and user insights into real-world impact.
