Title: Lead Product Designer
About Haven Energy:
Haven Energy is a well-funded, seed-stage startup focused on accelerating the adoption of home energy storage through a two-sided marketplace model. We believe that widespread, distributed storage will be a key part of our energy future, helping stabilize the electric grid in the face of increasing climate change-induced weather events, an aging transmission and distribution infrastructure and increased electric loads due to home electrification. For homeowners, on-site storage will help prevent blackouts, reduce residential electricity costs, reduce household CO2 emissions and provide a level of energy independence and security.
With our two-sided marketplace model, Haven guides homeowners through the selection, quoting, financing and scheduling of a home battery system install, and we pair homeowners with vetted, qualified electricians to perform the installation. We then work with homeowners to enroll their home battery systems into grid services programs, creating ways to monetize the asset for homeowners while improving grid resilience. We offer a phenomenal experience for both the homeowners and the installers, as both are key to our long term success.
Summary of Role:
Haven is seeking a Lead Product Designer to work alongside Product Management, Engineering, and Service Design to shape the design of Haven’s products, consumer experience, installer experience as well as internal tools. As a very early member of a seed stage startup, you’ll be hands-on in concepting, designing and executing our first digital experiences, as well as their evolution and growth as the company expands.
