Position Specific Description

Are you a passionate, detail-oriented individual enthusiastic about making user experiences seamless, effective, and enjoyable? FPLES is seeking a UX Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our seasoned team to evaluate user flows, conduct research, and lead changes that elevate both customer and employee experiences. Additionally, you'll gain invaluable exposure to sales and customer service applications and how these applications integrate with various corporate and external software solutions, whether hosted on-premise or in the cloud. This multidimensional learning will deepen your appreciation for the complex interplay between UX design and integrated software systems.

Your main tasks will involve rethinking existing user journeys and implementing effective changes not only to the user interface but also to the process behind it. With mentorship from our experienced team and opportunities to present your work to senior leadership, this internship is a unique chance to grow your skills, build your portfolio, and make your mark on an industry-leading company.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program focused on User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and user flow diagrams using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

  • A basic understanding of front-end development languages and SalesForce is a plus.

  • Portfolio showcasing academic or personal projects demonstrating your UX/UI design skills.

  • Familiarity with usability testing methods, A/B testing, and data analytics tools.

  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and visual details.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with team members.

Job Overview

To be considered for an internship, you must be actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree or higher. You must also have a current cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher (on a 0.00 to 4.00 scale).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists department with assigned projects

  • Completes challenging projects and assignments

  • Presents final project to senior leadership at the end of the internship

  • Assumes responsibility for own travel, lodging, and transportation necessary to be available for the program

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school grad / GED

  • Maintain active enrollment in a Bachelor or higher degree program

  • Maintain cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
